I’m a

Reflective Writing Facilitator

& Writer

Mission

I endeavour to make my work accessible to all while uplifting the voices of marginalized communities and empowering those with unique perspectives that deserve more attention to share their stories.

My Approach

  • I have completed all three levels (bronze, silver, gold) of Thrive LDN’s trauma-informed practice training, The Gift of Reconnection. My commitment to a trauma-informed practice means that I work from a strengths-based model focusing on what is ‘right’ with a person.

  • Through my counselling training I have learned to centre the needs of participants. This involves being flexible and dynamic with formats, timings and material. I believe that you know yourself best and I’m just here to facilitate discovery.

  • Come as you are. I endeavour to create workshop spaces where everyone can show up as themselves and feel celebrated. I offer accessible workshops (either in person or online) where people are encouraged to make themselves as comfortable as possible. Part of this approach means encouraging stimming and fidget toys, allowing people to choose whether they share or not, encouraging adapting prompts to suit individual needs or energy and anything else that will make the participant feel safe.

About

As a reflective writing facilitator and writer, the workshops I run reflect my passion for disability rights, accessibility, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ rights, mental health and suicide prevention. This has led to my current work as a support worker at WECIL, a charity that is run by disabled people for disabled people, and my volunteering role at Hope Against Suicide. In my other life I was a freelance journalist. You can read my previous work in my portfolio. In September, I will start the dissertation year of my MSc in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes at Metanoia Institute. Invitation

If what you’re reading excites you get in touch so we can dream up a collaboration. I’m interested in working with people and organisations in ways that combine education, social justice, movement, sound and words.
